WHO I AM

I'm a problem solver. My strength is listening, envisioning, and delivering successful web solutions on time, on budget, and in scope. I like taking on projects that allow me to flex my design, development and strategy muscles.

Eric E. Ellis - What I Do

WHAT I DO

While I'm a designer by trade - and I also love getting my hands dirty with HTML 5, CSS3, and JavaScript - my real strength is as a leader, managing teams of talented designers and developers to deliver award-winning results.

Charlotte, NC

WHERE I LIVE

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife Laura Beth, my three young children Anna Claire, Jack, and Liza, and my springer spaniel Ruby. When I'm not a daddy and not designing, I love to train for local triathlons.

My Work

My day job is as a digital strategist for a worldwide software & services company. I've also worked for one of the country's largest consumer banks doing what I love - digital design & innovation - from Miami to Beijing. Today, I manage and mentor designers and analysts in a client-facing role, identifying needs, architecting user-centered solutions, and leveraging the right resources to deliver on time and on budget.

And Lastly

I'm a public speaker, and I love interacting with people. In May of 2014 I led a panel on development best practices for community design at Lithium's LiNC conference, and in 2009, I led a SXSW Interactive panel with leading web designers and thought leaders Christopher Schmitt and Kimberly Blessing. Prior to that, I taught Interactive Media and Media Law as a graduate teaching assistant at Florida State University.
